Money, Money Money

Every day I listen to the news and I find that something is wrong in local, state and federal government. Like everyone else I understand an administration ago the country was placed in a bad situation. Whether we like it or not we're in the financial deep end of the pool, but for the life of me I don't understand my government's efforts to turn me around.

They know of our needs and all they can do is say," we're laying off 3 thousand more.

Have any of my officials thought of taking a pay cut along with me?

I'm told we're going to find new jobs for the population. We're going to reduce the money you spend to send your children to school. We're going to help the middle class back to prominence.

I see; more technical inventions that do the job of more and more humans. I see schools closing , teachers laid off, districts asking for me to pay more for my PUBLIC school child. I see no one worrying about the lower class of person, who by the way isn't lazy, maybe slightly under educated and filled with desperation but not lazy. Just because everyone wants to make them the cause of everything wrong, doesn't make it right or us lazy.

We've gone beyond help each other; to getting it for only myself. I'm not grateful for your help in my getting there, just keep patronizing me so I can get further. Oh, you? You're shiftless and lazy you should do as I have done I can't hold out my hand to you. Help yourself. Blame you on you.

Oh, by the way, this machine we've built will now read your meter and we have no need for 2 thousand meter readers. But you need to find a way to pay me my money after I lay you off work.

Teach your child? The days of the public school system being responsible for your child's welfare are long gone. That scene passed when you passed.

So who do we turn to? Who do we blame? Who do we cry to, with or about, and what do I say?

We talk. We listen. We plan. Then silence. (Nothing). We talk. We listen. We plan. Then.........

MONEY, MONEY, MONEY, MONEY...............
