I'm not one who likes to share a lot of time writing and expressing what I feel. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy a good conversation, but I'm not politically correct and I have no intentions of being so.
I don't go out of my way to say hurtful things or be disagreeable, but neither am I going to give up my point of view just to take the high road. And if that's what the person I'm talking to is going to do or is doing, then I feel it am insult.
I grew up in an era where we were told you had the right to express your self and no one had the right to put constraints on your comments.
Understandably you can't go around calling people insulting names or threatening the life of people you don't agree with, but within reason you can say what you feel even if offends or is not what others want to hear.
This is why I don't like to write. For years in the 1960's and 70's I fought for my right to be who and what I wanted to be and I wrote about it. Then comes these times and you are pressed to use ideas that belong to a society and not an individual.
I love listening to a good discussion where there is passion and fire, whether it is one person or a group. I love to read the Passion in someones writing. The truth as you see it. Maybe, I don't see your point, but never-the-less it's the truth as you see it. Man, that's good stuff.
So, I don't want to seem like a rebel or someone who wants to be on an island, but I march to my drum beat and I am the last angry man.
One last thing, before I get completely off topic; in the 1970's I read a book by an author named Franz Fanon, and his book was written in the 1930's. His book spoke of people not having a name in society, but being ruled by numbers and spoke of the problems of freedom we've reached today being slowly withdrawn if we're not careful. I have watched the writings of book sellers and their tell all's, but none have decided to tell all the truth to the people and believe me, the people love the truth.
In this class we are learning to write. Formal, informal and from the inner most of our selves. You guys are responding with enthusiasm and color and I like it. But once we learn to write I wish we would add one more element in what we do. And that element is always be true.
A little crazy, huh?

Plagerism
We've been asked a question about our opinion of plagiarism. For myself I have no view. Until I started school, again, I had no contact or use for the study or contact with plagiarism. If someone told a joke or made a statement I went with it not always saying; and so-and-so said.
In a matter of conversation rarely do you come to the front with something someone else may have said and if you do you may repeat what you heard and not be sure where you heard it.
So if my grandson tells me a joke and I repeat it, it's not as if it's mine, it's a point of conversing and maybe bringing a smile to the party I'm speaking to.
If I have to mention who I heard something from each time I speak I would likely shut down and keep my thoughts to myself.
Personally, I'm not famous to the point of worrying if someone is quoting me. Have at it if you think there is something of value in the statements I make.
But if I have to acknowledge someone each time I speak there will be less conversation from my side of the room.

Money, Money Money
Every day I listen to the news and I find that something is wrong in local, state and federal government. Like everyone else I understand an administration ago the country was placed in a bad situation. Whether we like it or not we're in the financial deep end of the pool, but for the life of me I don't understand my government's efforts to turn me around.
They know of our needs and all they can do is say," we're laying off 3 thousand more.
Have any of my officials thought of taking a pay cut along with me?
I'm told we're going to find new jobs for the population. We're going to reduce the money you spend to send your children to school. We're going to help the middle class back to prominence.
I see; more technical inventions that do the job of more and more humans. I see schools closing , teachers laid off, districts asking for me to pay more for my PUBLIC school child. I see no one worrying about the lower class of person, who by the way isn't lazy, maybe slightly under educated and filled with desperation but not lazy. Just because everyone wants to make them the cause of everything wrong, doesn't make it right or us lazy.
We've gone beyond help each other; to getting it for only myself. I'm not grateful for your help in my getting there, just keep patronizing me so I can get further. Oh, you? You're shiftless and lazy you should do as I have done I can't hold out my hand to you. Help yourself. Blame you on you.
Oh, by the way, this machine we've built will now read your meter and we have no need for 2 thousand meter readers. But you need to find a way to pay me my money after I lay you off work.
Teach your child? The days of the public school system being responsible for your child's welfare are long gone. That scene passed when you passed.
So who do we turn to? Who do we blame? Who do we cry to, with or about, and what do I say?
We talk. We listen. We plan. Then silence. (Nothing). We talk. We listen. We plan. Then.........
MONEY, MONEY, MONEY, MONEY...............

What I like about online classes
It's been over 40 years since I've seen the inside of a classroom, so naturally I'm afraid to share a class with younger students. I'm disabled and unable to move very well and walking the halls of a learning center is not ideal for me. Being able to speak to my classmates face to face would be beneficial for me,because when you can look in a person's eyes, you can partially gage their thoughts. You get to the root of their sincerity. Or at least you can see if they are faking a response. Online classes have made me a little shy about answering questions and giving the wrong answer though. I know I may seem strange, but you never want to be thought of as a person not knowing the answers in class. I enjoy my school and I enjoy being with my class. It's something I should have done years ago, but maybe this is that time I'm suppose to put forth an effort to learn something new. I like the way the ladies in my classes go in different directions during class. I find humor and knowledge in my classmates thoughts and conversations. In most of my classes I'm either the only male or one of two, so I sit back and enjoy the things women talk about. People say men have some out of the box conversations, well women say exactly what they feel they want to say whether it's about class or the day they've had. I enjoy it. This makes me feel comfortable and a part of in class, seeing that no one is pretending to be anything but who we really are. It is refreshing not having to be politically correct all the time. Thank-you guys you've helped me enjoy school and enjoy being around people I've just met and find a relationship with.

two blogs with the same name.
I have to let everyone know you can reach me on two blogs that say talkitout talkitout.
I made the mistake of thinking one setup did not go through and I tried it again and now I have two post to say the same thing and can't get rid of one. So classmates take your pick, I'll write on them both.
Sincerely, Ron
